Rumsey Hall pulls away from Third Boys' Hockey in the third

Heading to Rumsey Hall in search of its first victory on Wednesday, Third Boys' Hockey ran into a small but talented junior prep group who fought hard to keep a Martlet win elusive. Down 0-1 after the first two periods, the Martlets battled in all three zones and relied heavily upon stellar goal tending from Spencer Rellinger '17, especially in tight situations. With plans to raise its competition level in the final stanza, a few costly turnovers and poor decisions led to three quick Rumsey goals that proved too much to overcome. Westminster did net one in the closing minutes, as Carson Roth '19 put one in during a crease scrum battle, but time was no longer on the team's side. The boys are back in action on Saturday at Northfield Mount Hermon, where they will face an inevitably hungry Hogger team. This group needs two days of good practice to improve and be ready for its next test.
