Martlets Split Meet

Last Saturday, the Martlet’s held a terrific senior night where we recognized the leadership, grit, and determination of our seniors swimmers. The girls’ saw some incredibly strong swims in their last dual meet before championships. Hayden Schneider’ ‘25 claimed fourth in a very strong field for the 500 Freestyle, breaking 6:00 for the first time in her career in a time of 5:53.95. Ellie Pearman ‘25 scored a victory for the girls in the 100 Backstroke in a terrific time of 1:08.42 and Jennifer Weber ’25 also scored a first place finish in the 100 Breaststroke in a time of 1:20.47. The boys’ began a strong meet with a victory in the 4 x 50 relay (team of: Will Larock ‘26, Reggie Kanu ‘25, Sam Hyde ‘25, and John Dwyer ‘26). Kanu also claimed a victory in his individual 50 freestyle in a time of 22.93, breaking 23 seconds for the first time this season. Dwyer also claimed two individual victories in the 200 IM (2:01.05) and the 100 Fly (53.50). 

The Martlet’s are feeling strong as we head into Championships! 

Congratulations again to all those senior swimmers who dedicated so much to this team - Hayden Schneider, Reggie Kanu, Sam Hyde, Matthew O’Connell, Filip Tomic, Ellie Pearman, Lily Raskind, and Parks Cuskely. We will miss you next year!
