Martlets Fall to Pelicans

The Martlets took on Loomis today in a Monday night matchup at Jackson Rink. After falling behind 3-0 in the first period, the Martlets struggled to find momentum, and Loomis extended their lead to 5-0 by the second intermission. Despite a strong effort to regroup in the third period, Westminster was unable to generate any offense or break through Loomis' defense, with the Pelicans adding two more goals to seal the win. The Martlets look to bounce back on Wednesday against Pomfret at home for their final before break!
Our Grit and Grace player of the game is sophomore goaltender Liesel Kocourk! Liesel showed a lot of grit today in the way she stepped up to help the team against a strong Loomis group!
