Martlets Batte Taft

On Friday evening, a limited roster of Martlets faced off against Taft. The visitors hopped out to a quick lead after converting on turnovers and finding open shots from the perimeter. After switching their defensive scheme, the Martlets began to lockdown the Taft guards and significantly slowed their scoring. On the offensive end, baskets were hard to come by, but a 3-pointer from Eva Rodgers ’25 and a nice inside look from Kaitlyn Buda ’27 helped generate some momentum for the Martlets. In the second half, Delia Lockwood ’26 added her name to the scoresheet by collecting 6 points. Lauren Neuman ’25 also found some space from the suffocating defense she faced throughout the game, adding 5 points to the effort. While the Martlets fell short in the end, their defensive efforts and no quit attitude were the highlights of tonight’s game. We look forward to a quick rebound as the team hits the road for a game at Hopkins tomorrow afternoon.
