Martlets Fall to Salisbury

The Martlets opened up the season at home against a strong Salisbury squad. It was close from the start as Jason Hu ‘25, Ryan Sun ‘28, Steven Xie ‘26 and William Jones ‘28 found themselves even at 1-1 after the first two games.  In the end, Jason Hu was able to pull off a 3-1 victory with excellent court movement and timely drop shots.  The other three closely contested matches went to Salisbury, but Ryan, Steven and Will should be proud of the strong squash they played in their first varsity matches. In the second round of matches, James Teng ‘26 played superb, measured squash as he used tight rails and a patient game to win 3-0 in the #1 position.  In the end, the Martlets lost a tightly contested match 4-3.  Next up, we play Loomis Chaffee and Berkshire at 2:30 on Wednesday 12/11.
