Martlets Fall to W and M

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, thirds boys’ soccer was the only home game on campus. We hosted Wilbraham’s JV soccer team. The boys played well throughout the entire game. Wilbraham scored 2 goals in the first half due to a few miscues on our part. Brooks Berthiaume ‘27 did an amazing job of holding down the back line on defense. Crosby Cutler ‘27 also showed some grit on defense against bigger players. Khang Ngo ‘27 and Owen McNally ‘27 are both impressive in the midfield. I thought Matias Seber ‘26 also showed some flashes of toughness in the second half.

Wilbraham added their third goal midway through the second half. Dylan Zapata ‘27 was the most consistent striker for the Martlets. More importantly, the Martlets battled a strong team to the very end. Shout out to Mr. Cary for stepping in and helping coach the boys on Saturday. The effort and grit showed from the beginning until the end. The Martlets look forward to getting back into the win column in the final week of the season.

Owen and Brooks were the game captains.
