Martlets Defeat Kent

On an unseasonably warm day, the Martlets would host the Lions of Kent. Westminster would have several chances right from the start but it would be later in the half when Chace Maurice '27 would put one home off a great pass from Galima Sonnah '26. The Kent goalie would make a great PK save to keep the score heading into halftime 1-0 Martlets. The home side would get on the board again early with Manny Cazeau '28 tapping in the hard cross from Sonnah. The Martlets would extend the lead to 3-0 when Luka Misko '27 drilled home a ball inside the six-yard box. The Lions would make things interesting cutting into the lead 3-1 on a pk. However, Abraham Monsee '25 would dribble through the backline and beat the Kent keeper to extend the lead to 4-1. Kent would put one on the board late for a 4-2 final. The game ball would go to Misko for the game winning goal. The team wrench would be passed on to Sam Herdeg '27 for an outstanding effort in the back.
