Martlets Fall to LC

The Martlets faced Loomis in an intense match characterized by swift ball movement in the first half. Steven Lau '28 stood out, demonstrating his skill and determination to create opportunities for the Martlets. However, the team's transition in possession lacked dynamism, compounded by challenging wind conditions that affected ball engagement. This allowed Loomis to capitalize, scoring two goals.
In the second half, Adrien Dellaert '25 solidified the defense with strategic play, while Will Jones '28 and Junian Kim '27 constantly pressed forward, making impactful contributions. The Martlets fought hard, and Rush Miller '28 managed to find the net, scoring a goal that briefly sparked hope. However, Loomis responded fiercely, adding three more goals to their tally.
The Grit and Grace Award was awarded to Junian Kim '27 for his outstanding contribution despite the scoreline, showcasing relentless energy and commitment throughout the match, embodying the team's fighting spirit until the final whistle.
