Martlets Fall to Deerfield

The Martlets were back on Hovey field today to take on Deerfield Academy. The crisp air made it feel like a true fall day in Simsbury, CT. Throughout the first half, the Martlets struggled to find their rhythm. Deerfield was able to capitalize on the Martlets slow start and put five goals on the scoreboard in the first two quarters. Although it was a frustrating start for the Martlets, the team did a good job of regrouping at halftime and allowed one goal against for the remainder of the game. In addition, they put together some solid chances on offense, but none were able to find the back of the net. The Martlets are looking ahead to their next game against Kingswood Oxford on Friday, October 18th at 6:30pm. Come join us under the lights, as we celebrate our amazing senior class!

Our Grit and Grace player of the game is Hadley Crowther ‘25! Hadley’s consistent effort and composure helped the team immensely throughout the game.
