Martlets Fall to Suffield
The Martlets headed out to Suffield Academy on Monday. The boys had a lot to give this game, but some quick exclusions left the team with some work to do. Early goals from Captain Jason Hu ’25, mitigated the problem during the first quarter, but as the second quarter got underway, Suffield found weaknesses in the team’s defense, and took advantage of them while shoring up their own defenses to make things harder for the Martlets unless the boys were willing to change their strategies. As the game approached its conclusion, Will Larock ’26 demonstrated his endurance, staying in for the entire quarter and racing back and forth to achieve breakaways on offense, while also getting back on defense as the first and last line of defense to aid Draven Chung ’26 against Suffield breakaways. Other notable players in the fourth quarter rally included captains Trent Jones ’25 and Filip Tomic ’25 for their own breakaways, as well as Jack Owens ’27, having his best game and moving the ball around well during our offensive possessions. This game’s Grit and Grace winner is Will Larock.
