A Win for the Martlets

In today's highly anticipated soccer match between The Martlets and Kent School, The Martlets emerged victorious with a resounding 5-0 win. The Martlets displayed complete dominance from the opening whistle, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork. They particularly excelled in the midfield, controlling possession and dictating the game's pace. The left-wing defense, an area that had faced challenges in previous matches, stood strong and thwarted any attempts by the opposing team to break through.
 
The first half concluded with a commanding 4-0 lead for The Martlets, with each goal highlighting the team's precision and strategic play. Chloe Champoux ’28, Margaux Walter ’27, Georgia Ursano ’28, and Mya Polastry ’27 found the back of the net, showcasing their talents and contributing to the team's impressive lead. Although the second half saw a slight decrease in performance due to a temporary loss of focus, the team's resilience was truly inspiring. They quickly regrouped and rallied towards the end. Lexi Willis’26 secured the fifth goal with a brilliant display of skill, sealing the score at 5-0 and solidifying Westminster's dominant performance.
 
Special recognition goes to Wynne Pritchett  '28, Eliza Reilly '27, Gianna Monaco ’27, and the improving Margaux Walter '27 for their outstanding contributions to the game. Their dedication and unwavering effort, along with the unity of the team, were instrumental in securing this impressive victory for the team.
