Martlets Defeat Pomfret

Another great overall team performance from the squash sisters, and what made it great was the variety of matches and results across the board, showing how close an overall match can be on a given day. Straight set wins by Blair Li ‘28, Lilly McMillen ‘27, Luna Yang ‘26 and Grace Kim ‘25 got us the momentum quick, while Pomfret continued to battle as the overall match progressed. It was at #3 and #4 with Lucy Morton ‘26 and youngster Wynne Prichett ‘28 who secured their matches in four games to give westy the win! More impressive play at the top with Camilla Norton ‘25 and Clover Cooper ‘26 both playing tight matchups and playing hard until the end, including a 5 setter on Clover’s court. The grit and grace award goes to Clara Covill ‘26 who waited around for her exhibition match until most other members were done, battled with two very close games, was patient with a scoring error, and cemented the final win of the day. The team will look to keep it going over the next few games heading into long weekend.
