Martlets Fall on the Road

The Martlets traveled to New Haven as the snow gently fell to take on the Hopkins Hilltoppers. From the beginning, we were ready for a tough match against a talented opponent. In the #1 position, James Teng ‘26 started off strong, extending his rallies, keeping the ball tight to the wall and pushing his opponent on every point. Meanwhile, Ben Swift ‘25 was hustling all over the court, getting to some of the toughest balls and showing excellent determination. At #3, it was fantastic to see Henry Naylor ‘25 finding his length and working hard to put pressure on his opponent. In the second round of matches, Ryan Sohn ‘27 showed tremendous poise as he adjusted his game to find success getting the ball deep and looking to volley. In every position on the ladder, we clearly demonstrated some great progress in our squash, and we look forward to hosting Kingswood Oxford School on Wednesday, January 15th at 2pm.
