Martets Shutout by Williston

The Martlets headed north to play Williston on their turf field. The speed of the field took the visitors off guard and gave up two quick goals to start the game. During the first half Westminster struggled to maintain any solid possession and had to play on their heels for much of the 45 mins, halftime score was 4-0. The second half saw some better soccer and the Martlets stringing together some passing and possession. Dylan Wendle ‘25 had the best chance of the game inside the 6 yard box, but failed to convert. Henry Warner’ 25 who played hard on the right side was able to develop many chances for himself and others. The team wrench would be awarded to Jaimie Escartin ‘27 for his hard work and tackles in the back. Escartin has been in and out of the lineup with injuries, it was nice to see him play an entire 90 mins. Dennis Quiwon ‘26 finished the game with 9 solid saves.
