Martlets Fall to Rumsey

First home game for the Thirds girls against Rumsey. Though we are a small team, we are mighty. All of our first-time players picked up the stick with enthusiasm and support for their teammates, and returning players showed great leadership. Virginia Whiting ’26 brought the team together to warm up and continued to play very strong offense. Abby Desson ’28 moved to all positions on the field and never stopped running for one second. This team pulled off a miracle, successfully defending multiple corners, especially with Anastasia Augsberger ’26 always being at the right place at the right time. Lily Abdel-Meguid ’26 also showed great leadership by advocating for other players’ play time and being very positive in playing anywhere on the field.

GRIT & Grace Award: Chase Carter ’26 stepped up and played goalie and played with such skill and passion that she lifted the entire team spirit by kicking out one ball after another, sending the whole field into cheers.
