Martlets Finish 16th
The Martlets headed down to Boston Friday night for a great day of hard running this past Saturday at New England Championships. The course was beautiful as it led athletes right past the water and some fantastic fall foliage. The course was also exceptionally difficult with many steep hills, including one affectionately known as Heartbreak Hill. Nevertheless, our girls battled it out for some great runs. Sophia Lazor ‘28 placed 29th overall in an impressive time of 22:51. Sofia Eleuteri finished 66th in a time of 24:56, a fantastic result for a third former.
Our Grit and Grace Award goes to the senior girls: Elise Park, Sophie Grace Stevenson, and Hayden Schneider who have offered us tremendous leadership this year and completed their last race on this beautiful, but difficult course. We will miss you all!
