Martlets Place 7th
Westy JV (4th Place Overall) Westy Varsity (7th place overall)
The Martlets were in action Saturday, November 7th at Founders with some incredible finishes. Kicking us off, our JV girls’ placed fourth overall at the meet, a true testament to the depth of our team and the work ethic of all athletes. In this race, Sunshine Li ‘26 scored an impressive 22nd place finish in a time of 25:28. Close behind her was third former Blair Li ‘28 making her debut championship run a 26:36. In the Varsity race, Sophia Lazor ‘27 finished 12th place, an incredible accomplishment. Lazor also ran a season best time of 21:55 and considering this course was one of the hardest courses we ran all season, that accomplishment is remarkable. Sofia Eleuteri ‘28 also made her first appearance in a championship event as a Martlet and accomplished an impressive 31st place.
Our Grit and Grace Award goes to Sabrina Yang ‘26 who broke 30 minutes for the first time ever at this meet!
Our Grit and Grace Award goes to the senior girls: Elise Park, Sophie Grace Stevenson, and Hayden Schneider who have offered us tremendous leadership this year and completed their last race on this beautiful, but difficult course. We will miss you all!
