Martlets Shutout by Berkshire

The Martlets approached the match against Berkshire with intensity right from the start. Both teams pressed hard, but despite the Martlets' valiant efforts, Berkshire struck first, netting two goals in the first half. The Martlets fought to maintain possession and push the ball forward, but the opponents put in a strong play. The first half ended with Berkshire holding a firm lead, leaving the Martlets eager to regroup and come back stronger. 
In the second half, the Martlets came out with renewed energy, showcasing improved ball possession and a more dynamic approach to their gameplay. Steven Lau '28 stood out, skillfully navigating the field and keeping the momentum alive for the team. Junian Kim  '27 also made his mark, effectively pressing the opposition and displaying great ball control. The combined efforts of Justin Fu ‘27 and Auggie Jiranek ‘27 in their positions added to the Martlets' push.     To add to this, goalkeeper Maruli Sianturi ‘28 demonstrated remarkable skill with several impressive saves that kept the game competitive. However, despite these efforts, Berkshire managed to score two more goals again, ending the game 4 - 0.
Grit & Grace Award and why? The Grit and Grace Award is awarded to Steven Lau '28 for his unwavering effort and focus throughout the match, who embodied the Martlets' fighting spirit even through all the challenges.
