Martlets Place 8th
The Martlets were back in action on the 5k course this Saturday at The Canterbury Invitational. Racing against seven other teams, the Martlets accomplished some fantastic results. The day alternated between a cooler temperature and quite hot, making the course a difficult run. But the Martlets stuck together and toughed it out for a fantastic day of racing. Avery Gray ‘25 ran an all-time personal best of 28:10, an incredible accomplishment considering it was her first meet of the season! Hayden Schneider ‘24 finished slightly ahead of Gray for a season best time of 27:45. Elise Park ‘24 finished strong for the Martlets, running a 29:29, breaking 30 for the first time this season. Sophie Grace Stevenson won the race for the Martlets with a resilient race and a time of 24:46. Finally, our Grit and Grace winner is Sofia Eleuteri ‘28 who finished close behind Sophie Grace Stevenson in a time of 24:48 - a terrific accomplishment and time for her first ever race as a Martlet. Well done to all!
