Martlets Win on The Road

It was a big game for the JV Girls Hockey squad in the old Mays rink at Taft! Scoring came early with a nice tip-in at the 32 second mark by Paige Herlihy '25. Before the first minute of play was over, Aila Van Dolah'27 would find the net with support from Herlihy! Spoiler alert! Herlihy would go on to net another goal in the 1st with a nice feed from Lily Vincent '25 who scored her own goal later in the 3rd with the assist going to Helen Kennedy '27. One minute into the second period Herlihy captured the coveted "hat trick" supported by strong passing from Sofia Eleuteri '28 and Van Dolah. It was "Abigail squared" a minute later with Abigail Graham '27 lighting the lamp on a pass from Abby Cirelli '27 to break open the game 6 - 3. Eleuteri completed the second period scoring with some splendid stick work to pull the Taft goalie out of position. Once again, within the first minute of the third period, Herlihy found the net one more time after taking a pass from Chase Carter '26! Captains Lily Vincent and Lucy Wainwright '25 made it 9 and then 10, Wainwright's shot on a well-timed feed from Helen Marshall '25. Tilly Lynch '25 made several great saves to keep the margin comfortable for the fourth line to get lots of ice time! A great team effort prior to heading into the final home game this weekend against Berkshire at our own Jackson Rink!
