Frequently Asked Questions

Can students depart campus after Winter Parents & Family Weekend? 
Students may depart after their final commitment on Saturday provided they follow the standard departure and return procedures. Please note that this is not a long weekend and students have a regular class day on Monday.

Do I need to register for class visits during Winter Parents & Family Weekend? 
Parents do not need to register to attend specific classes, however parents should indicate whether they plan to attend classes with their student on the registration form.

Is there a list of area hotels and restaurants? 
Yes, please visit this link for area hotels and restaurants.

Do we need to sign up for weekend events?
Yes, we will ask you to complete a registration form indicating which weekend events you plan to attend. This form will be available soon.

Are there athletic contests on campus Saturday afternoon?
Yes, we will be sharing a link shortly with the Saturday game schedule with times and locations.

Are pets allowed on campus?
Pets on campus are not permitted inside any buildings, must be leashed at all times, and remain under the direct supervision of a family member over the age of 18. It is expected that families will promptly clean up after their pets.
Accommodations
A block of rooms have been reserved at the Simsbury Inn. Please visit this link to make a reservation. The room block will expire on January 21, 2025. Additional area accommodations can be accessed on the Area Restaurants and Hotels link.
