Martlets Fall to Marianapolis Prep

The Martlets traveled to Thompson, CT to play Marianapolis on a windy Saturday afternoon. The boys started the first half quickly with the starting lineup back in action. Ethan Griffin ’26 gave a great effort on both defensive and offensive rebounds. The size match up favored the Martlets in the paint and on rebounds. Ethan Villacis ’27 made great plays finding teammates Nate McCleery ’25 and Thomas Blouin ’26 for easy buckets. The boys started the second half of the game behind by ten points. After lots of back and forth scoring the Martlets cut down the lead to five with ten minutes left in the game. A couple costly turnovers from the Martlets gave Marianapolis a larger lead in the final minutes of the game. The final score of this matchup ended 61-50 in favor of Marianapolis. The boys will have a quick turn around and face CATS Academy Boston on Monday.
