Martlets Fall to SHS

What started as a nice afternoon turned very cold and very wet quickly, but the girls played through the weather. They showed grit and played defense the best they could with only 1 sub. It was a long game with 12 minute quarters and little rest time in between. Most of the girls were running the entirety of the game and encouraging one another nonstop. Great defense today from Anastasia Augsberger ‘26 and Lulu Dawson ‘27. They were constantly helping out our goalies and put up a good fight against Simsbury. We had great passes from Virginia Whiting ‘26, Teagan Lynch ‘27, and Chase Carter ‘26. They were looking out for each other and their teammates, always being open and ready to receive the ball. Huge shout out to our goalies in this game, Rebecca Hartman ‘28 and Lily Abdel-Meguid ‘26. They played the best they could and we appreciate them taking on the goalie position.

GRIT & Grace Award and why? - The grit and grace award goes to Lily Abdel-Meguid ‘26 for being a goalie for the first time ever! She stepped out of her comfort zone, took the time to practice the position, and gave the team her best effort. We are so proud of her for taking on this challenge and proud of her teammates for the constant encouragement towards Lily.
