Martlets Fall to Pomfret

The Martlets put up a strong challenge against Pomfret School in what proved to be the most competitive game since the season started. Both teams showcased impressive movement and determination throughout the match. In the first half, Pomfret managed to find the back of the net twice. However, the Martlets maintained their momentum, with Lane Gallagher ‘25 scoring a crucial goal just before halftime, bringing the score to 2-1.
The second half saw even more intensity as both teams battled fiercely for control. Pomfret struck again, extending their lead to 3-1. Yet, the Martlets refused to back down. Steven Lau ‘28 responded with a phenomenal goal, igniting hope for a comeback. Despite the final score, the energy on the field highlighted the team’s resilience and competitive spirit.
Grit & Grace Award: This week’s award goes to Lane Gallagher ‘25 for his consistent effort and determination throughout the match. Keep pushing forward, Martlets! Your hard work is paving the way for future successes.
