Martlets Defeat Bears

The Martlets had great effort in our match today against Berkshire. Playing against a team with only 5 people can be challenging, but the team rebounded and played solid squash.
Due to the conditions, we started with #s 2-5 on the ladder. At #2, WIll Henry ‘26 played a solid match against a tough opponent and won in 3 competitive games. Similarly, Daniel Frid ‘27 played an amazing first 2 games dropping on 5 points, before winning a competitive third game 12-10 to win his match at #4. Isaac Kwon ‘28 started slowly at #5, but took control of his match to win the last 3 games only dropping 9 points. At #1, Mathias Seber ‘26 played a tough opponent and fought very hard before dropping a competitive 3 game encounter. At #3, Crosby Cutler ‘27 played a very competitive, long and hard fought match that he dropped in 4 games. This was a very competitive match and Crosby had chances to win every game played!
Due to the circumstances of the match and the opponents only having 5 people, the Martlets won #s 6 and 7 by default. 4 of the Berkshire players were kind enough to play exhibition matches against four of the other players so many of the Martlets left having played a match. The Martlets will be on the road for the first time this season on Wednesday when we travel to Salisbury.
