Martlets Tie Ethel Walker

The match between Ethel Walker and Westminster proved to be the most hard-fought game of the season to date. Several Walker’s girls showed incredible skill, ball control, and speed throughout the day. Westminster showed incredible grit and determination in playing the game to a 1-1 tie. Down 1-0 at the half, the team came out for the second with great energy and was able to score a goal early. Ilana Mezheritskey ‘26 found space in front of the net thanks to a pass by Ellie Pearman ‘25 and was able to tie the game. The defense was again a force that prevented the Walker team from collaborating. When they did mount offense, they were often forced to rush shots or lose control of the ball. Jennifer Yang ‘25 leads this defense well at the sweeper spot, but many others stepped up today including Aerin Kim ‘27, Ashley Martinez ‘27, Rotayvia Butler ‘27 and Lilly McMillen ‘27.
