Martlets Fall to Bears

The Martlets lost 26-37 despite a valiant effort, particularly in the second half. The defense was outstanding, effectively limiting the Bears’ scoring opportunities. However, missed free throws proved costly, ultimately making the difference in the outcome. Berkshire jumped out to a 17-0 lead as the Martlets could not make a basket. Westminster drew to within 12 at the break, trailing 13-25. Westminster had opportunities in the second half, but could not quite get close enough. Bennett Varao ‘27 led the way with 8 points and Sonny Darnowski ‘28 and Alex Brown ‘27 each had 6 points. Caden Cramer ‘27 led the way on the defensive end.
