Martlets Fall to Deerfield

Wasn’t meant to be today as Deerfield played too well and was too deep, but still plenty of highlights from the afternoon. Shoutout Caroline Callen ‘26 for stepping in as our number one and playing well against a strong Deerfield opponent. While there were mostly shutouts, more credit goes to Lilly McMillen on keeping the match going longer than expected in winning her 3rd game of the match, and what a great win for Clover Cooper ‘26 at the #2 spot in straight sets! The grit and grace award, however, goes to Lily Abdel-Meguid ‘26 for playing not once, but twice given we were a player down. Two ⅗ game matches on the day? Not too shabby, and Lily handled it all with a smile and a sprinkle of grace (and maybe a slight fall in her last game). The team will look to get healthy and bounce back next week.

1. Caroline Callen ‘26 3-0 D
2. Clover Cooper ‘26 3-0 W
3. Blair Li ‘28 3-0 D
4. Lilly McMillen ‘27 3-1 D
5. Grace Kim ‘25 3-0 D
6. Lily Abdel-Meguid ‘26 3-0 D
7. Lily Abdel-Meguid ‘26 3-0 D
