Martlets Defeat Berkshire and Suffield
The Girls’ Cross-Country team picked up two more wins this past Friday against Suffield and Berkshire. Terrific runs were had across the board, including many personal bests. Sofia Eleuteri ‘28 ran under 24 minutes for the first time to win the meet in a time of 23:43. Behind her, AJ Jimenez ‘25 scored second place for the Martlets, running sub 25 for the first time (24:50). Other personal best times this meet included - Avery Gray ‘26 who finished 8th in a time of 26:13, Blair Li ‘28 who finished 12th in a time of 27:14, Elise Park ‘25 in a time of 28:51, Mimi Salman ‘26 in a time of 28:04, and Summer Zhang ‘28 in a time of 35:06. It was a difficult course with a massive hill so our girls showed tremendous grit in accomplishing season and personal bests on a tough route. Congratulations to all!
Finally, our Grit and Grace Award goes to Summer Zhang for not only accomplishing a best time, but running a best time by over five minutes. Well done!
