Martlets and Deerfield Tie

After three games on the road the Martlets were back at home under the lights for a 5pm game. The visitors, Deerfield had a very good first half and had the home side on their heels for much of the 45 mins. Deerfield was able to convert late heading into half time for 1-0. During the second half the crowd started to fill in and Westminster played off the energy. Abraham Monsee ‘25 converted midway through the second half with a blast of a free kick into the top corner. Much of the last 15 mins of the game Westminster pushed hard but were unable to get the lead. Both teams worked hard and settled for the 1-1 tie. The game ball would go to Chace Maurice ‘27 for his hard defending and getting into the play throughout the game. The team wrench would go to Connor Gray ‘26 for anchoring the back line and winning a ton of balls in the air. Westminster is back on the road for back to back games.
