Martlets Defeat K-O

The girls won their fifth straight match to start the season, completing a season sweep of local rivals with a 6-1 win over Kingswood. The girls played without #1 Sophia Lazor ‘27, so everyone had to play up a position. Elle Wilson ‘26 played valiantly against the KO #1, but the Wyvern top dog just had too much game. Over the rest of the ladder, the Martlets enjoyed a substantial edge in experience and shotmaking, winning each of the remaining matches at 3-0. Shout-outs go to Sixth Formers Meiyin Ren, who won in her first match of the season in the official lineup, and Maddie Clark, who gritted out a 16-14 win in her first game before dominating the last two in her exhibition match.
