Martlets Compete at Founders

Saturday, the team competed in the 2024 Founders’ League Championship, demonstrating their unwavering commitment and hard work. Despite the girls facing overwhelming odds all season due to the reduced size of the team, they never faltered. This was evident in the major contributions from Emme Pacheco-Hager ‘25, who broke the school record in the javelin with a throw of 116.10 ft; and Elysse Cumberland who triumphed in the long and triple jump, breaking the school record in the triple jump with a distance of 38.9 ft. The team's composure and hard work throughout the day were commendable. Adrienne Hall ‘25, who came within seconds of breaking the school record in the 400m, and Sarah Lenox ‘24, who secured third place in the high jump, also delivered notable performances. Next Saturday, the team will carry their hard work to Tabor Academy for the New England Championships.
